We never have guided tours - always preferring to explore places at our own pace; & to spend more time on the things we are interested in - but we were in the public admission queue when one of the All Seville 'touts' asked if we would be interested in the guided tour. As it was hot & the queue was long; and going on a guided tour meant that we could go in straightaway we went for it & were very glad that we did. The guide; Jorge; was knowledgeable; interesting; informative and humorous & we would not hesitate to recommend him. We learnt a lot about the Cathedral. He bought the history to life with interesting anecdotes and unknown facts.
We hadn’t planned to take a guide but Susana found us as we were waiting in line for tickets to the Cathedral in Seville and we joined her English speaking group. She is very knowledgable and the tour was very interesting. She was very keen to make sure everyone enjoyed the experience. We were also able to cut the waiting time quite considerably by joining a group as the ticket processing is faster. We then joined a group with Susana the next day to the Alcázar and it was also a very nice experience, with Susana sharing some very interesting information, historical facts and some quite funny trivia too. I’m not usually a great fan of guided tours but it was well worth paying a little more in these two amazing but very popular and busy places
