Description

The Seville Cathedral tour will gives you a great perspective of the history of Seville and of the region of Andalusia. The cathedral itself is the best example of the past of the time, the history and the different cultures. Therefore, it has parts from different eras and constructions by different cultures, which will take us to travel the evolution of art through the centuries.

The daily Seville Cathedral tour offers:

A guided tour of the so-called Cathedral of Santa Maria de la Sede. It’s known as the great hollow mountain. A cathedral that all seems to us a giant, and for the eyes of a child, is practically a universe. It is considered as the largest Gothic cathedral in the world, and has been declared a World Heritage since 1987 by UNESCO.

We can admire in this guided tour the artistic beauty of this imposing construction. In addition, we will find in the interior works of Murillo, the largest altar in Christendom, the Patio de los naranjos, the tomb of Christopher Columbus, and much more. Thanks to our expert guides, we will learn the history, legends and curiosities of the place. At the end of the tour you will have the chance to go up the former minaret, the bell tower nowadays, the Giralda with splendid views of Seville.

Duration of the daily Seville Cathedral tour: 1 hour.

The tour include the entrance fee to the Cathedral.

Meeting point: Pl. Virgen de los Reyes, 4. Old Town, 41004 Seville. Next to the statue of Pope John Paul. We’ll be holding our red flag!

You can already book on our website the Seville Cathedral tour. It’s safe, easy and fast! We will wait for you!

We never have guided tours - always preferring to explore places at our own pace; & to spend more time on the things we are interested in - but we were in the public admission queue when one of the All Seville 'touts' asked if we would be interested in the guided tour. As it was hot & the queue was long; and going on a guided tour meant that we could go in straightaway we went for it & were very glad that we did. The guide; Jorge; was knowledgeable; interesting; informative and humorous & we would not hesitate to recommend him. We learnt a lot about the Cathedral. He bought the history to life with interesting anecdotes and unknown facts.

We hadn’t planned to take a guide but Susana found us as we were waiting in line for tickets to the Cathedral in Seville and we joined her English speaking group. She is very knowledgable and the tour was very interesting. She was very keen to make sure everyone enjoyed the experience. We were also able to cut the waiting time quite considerably by joining a group as the ticket processing is faster. We then joined a group with Susana the next day to the Alcázar and it was also a very nice experience, with Susana sharing some very interesting information, historical facts and some quite funny trivia too. I’m not usually a great fan of guided tours but it was well worth paying a little more in these two amazing but very popular and busy places
