You will see works by Murillo, the largest altarpiece in Christendom, the Courtyard of the Orange Trees and the tomb of Christopher Columbus. Afterwards you climb the Giralda on your own. It is ramps almost all the way, with a few steps at the very end, and from the top you can spot the Guadalquivir river and María Luisa Park.

The Royal Alcázar is still used by the Spanish royal family when they stay in Seville, which makes it the oldest royal palace in Europe still in use. In one hour you walk through tiled halls, Moorish doorways, domes, fountains and gardens. Coming with kids? We run the visit as a family tour, with games about who lived there, what they wore and how they played. One thing to know: in bad weather the City Council can close the gardens.
If you only have one morning, this is the one that gets you furthest. In 2 h 30 min you see the Alcázar and the Cathedral, one hour in each. Both tickets are included, plus an audio headset so you can hear your guide even when the monuments are busy.
Save this one for the evening. An hour of singing, dancing and guitar in a small tablao, close enough to feel the footwork from less than 20 metres away. Shows run Monday to Saturday at 7 pm and 9 pm. UNESCO added flamenco to its list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2010.
